Register for the third annual Minnesota Climate Adaptation Conference

Registration is now open for the third annual Minnesota Climate Adaptation Conference on Jan. 28, 2016 at the Hilton DoubleTree in North Minneapolis.


"This conference is designed for local officials, planners, engineers, natural resource practitioners and others who want to learn more about adaptation strategies that have worked or are being tested in various sectors, tribal communities, energy, local foods, emergency management, communication and water resources," says Mark Seeley, U of M Extension climatologist and one of the conference leaders. Also, Minnesota companies will discuss how they are addressing climate adaptation, and mayors panel will address city approaches to climate adaptation.

2016 January Research Updates for Ag Professionals


Each year brings new crop production challenges. Keeping up with these new issues is a top priority for agricultural professionals. At the 2016 University of Minnesota Research Update for Ag Professionals, ag pros will find research-based strategies to deal with today's changing pests, diseases, varieties, and nutrient and environmental recommendations. Meet Natalie Sayles, a recent graduate of Austin High School, 4-H alum from Mower County and 2015 recipient of the Ada and Helmuth Schroeder Scholarship from the Minnesota 4-H Foundation. She's a freshman at the University of Minnesota, studying mechanical engineering.
