Minnesota Sparks, a new series of conversations with University researchers, highlights the University's economic and cultural impact that spans all 87 Minnesota counties.

At the first Minnesota Sparks conversation, launched in Red Wing, Extension climatologist Mark Seeley was among three keynote speakers at the event. As Red Wing Republican Eagle reporter Michael Brun notes, Seeley described the effects of climate change felt in Minnesota as among the most pronounced in the nation. "We live in an area of the country where there is no ifs, ands or buts," Seeley told the crowd. "It is changing significantly."
